The Gas Light is a newly built 72 foot gaff rigged scow schooner available for charter. She is is a replica of an historic 1890's style San Francisco hay scow. Gas Light's owner/builder concieved of the vessel as a window on the proud heritage of the original working scows that children could "! look through" by sailing aboard for education programs.

Gas Light is based in Sausalito and remote pick ups can be arranged in San Francisco, Gas House Cove, East Bay, and Tiburon. This schooner is ideal charter boat for parties of 25 to 35 persons, although Gas Light is certified to carry 49 passengers. It is great for weddings, wine tastings, corporate events, groups and organizations, parties sometimes culminating on Angel Island for Barbeque.

The Gas Light is a great charter boat for large parties. We have testimonials of many happy parties including this last fourth of July. Charter rates vary based on season. There is a three hour minimum charter for the Gas Light. It has a wide open space below which serves well for a serving area, but no kitchen or galley.

The Gas Light is avaialable for sunset charters, weddings, adventures and parties.

The Historic Gas Light participates in the Tallship Parade every year and activly participates in educational and outreach programs on the San Francisco Bay. We are proud to represent Billy Martinelli and the Gas Light.
