SF Bay Adventures offers rentals on 21' Zodiac Rigid hull inflatable boats, and a variety of sailboats of up to 40' feet to qualified individuals wishing to self skipper. We also offer a variety of picnic boats, catamarans and 32' Grand Banks for hire.

Our Licensed Captains each have years of experience on the Bay, and are always professional and full of local history and tidbits.

Whether your interest is a leisurely sail along the Marin shoreline or a quick trip up to the Golden Gate and Alcatraz, or a family day at Angel Island, we have the right boat for you.

Motor Boat Rentals

Currently we offer bare boat rental on our 21' Zodiac RIB yacht tender.

The price is $125/hour on weekdays and $150/hour on weekends with a 2 hour minimum at all times, plus fuel. In order to self skipper, you will need to know the Rules of the Road, some basic navigation and have some experience on boats.

We strongly recommend a safe boating class such as is offered by the U.S. power Squadron; however it is not required.

For charterers who have experience but need a ‘brush up' orientation with one of our skippers takes about an hour and costs $225 for the Captain, boat and fuel. Check out and orientation takes about 30 minutes.

Sailboat rentals

We are pleased to be able to offer a variety of modern performance sailboats to qualified individuals who wish to experience sailing on the Bay themselves.

They range from the Islander and Ericson 30's to the more modern and plush J-120 and Hanse 35. The boats depart from charming and historic Sausalito or Pier 40 in San Francisco convenient to the Golden Gate and central Bay.

The pre-charter orientation and check out is a few hours and having a licensed skipper is an option for all of our sailboats.

Charters
