Our personal favorite: The Presidio Yacht Club is a social organization under the sponsorship of 60th Services Squadron, Travis Air Force Base. Membership is available to all active duty & reserve military forces, retired military, Federal Employees, National Park employees and auxiliary members of the Coast Guard. The oldest yacht club on the Pacific Coast (organized 1869), the San Francisco Yacht Club is also one of the most exclusive on the bay. It is located in Belvedere and has its own 190-slip marina. As the name suggests, it was originally in San Francisco, but moved to Belvedere in 1937. The St. Francis Yacht Club was formed by former SFYC members who opposed the move.
